Research & Innovation Center

The Research & Innovation Center is a key pillar of all programs, guided by FITE’s strong focus on research, data analysis, and understanding of labor market and social trends. It is driven by the belief that effective impact begins with evidence-based insight and real-world understanding.

Through continuous research and labor market analysis, the center studies employment trends, in-demand skills, and workforce challenges in Jordan and the region. This includes youth unemployment, gender gaps, refugee inclusion, and barriers faced by people with disabilities. These findings directly inform the design of training programs, study initiatives, and youth development strategies. All programs are built on employability and real market needs, ensuring learners gain practical and relevant skills. The center also focuses on innovation by updating curricula, using digital tools, and applying modern, hands-on learning methods.

By combining research, innovation, and partnerships, the center creates impactful programs that connect training with real employment opportunities.

The Research & Innovation Center is one of the key pillars of all programs and initiatives, guiding how they are designed, delivered, and continuously improved. At its core, the center is driven by FITE’s strong focus on research, data analysis, and understanding of social and labor market trends. We believe that meaningful impact begins with evidence-based insight, which is why we rely on systematic research to study real-world challenges and translate them into practical, result-driven solutions.

A major focus of the center is analyzing labor market dynamics in Jordan and the wider region. Through continuous data collection, surveys, and trend analysis, we identify in-demand skills, evolving employer expectations, and structural barriers that affect employment opportunities. This includes studying youth unemployment, gender gaps in the workforce, refugee inclusion, and challenges faced by persons with disabilities. These insights allow us to design targeted interventions that respond directly to current and future needs of society.

FITE places strong emphasis on using research not only for observation, but for action. The findings directly shape our training programs, study initiatives, and youth development strategies. Every curriculum is built with employability at its core, ensuring that learners gain skills that are practical, relevant, and aligned with real job opportunities. This approach strengthens the connection between education and employment, increasing the likelihood of successful workforce integration.

Beyond research, the center plays a key role in innovation. Programs are continuously updated based on new data, emerging trends, and shifting industry requirements. We integrate modern teaching methodologies, digital tools, and experiential learning approaches to ensure our programs remain engaging, effective, and future-oriented. This includes simulation-based training, interactive learning environments, and applied learning models that reflect real workplace conditions.

Collaboration is another essential pillar. The center works closely with local institutions, international organizations, and private sector partners to ensure alignment with market needs. These partnerships help create pathways for internships, job placements, and professional development opportunities, strengthening the bridge between training and employment.

At FITE, research is not theoretical, it is a practical tool for change. By combining data-driven insight, innovation, and strategic partnerships, the Research & Innovation Center develops programs that are responsive, inclusive, and impactful. This ensures that youth and communities are equipped with the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world, while contributing to sustainable economic and social development.
