Quarterly Program (4 Months)

The Quarterly Program is a comprehensive 4-month immersive learning experience designed for international students, ages 18 years and up,  seeking deep academic, linguistic, and cultural engagement in Jordan. It combines structured Arabic language training, cultural exploration, and hands-on participation in Jordanian society, offering a more advanced and extended journey compared to the 6 week Summer Intensive. 

The program begins with a detailed orientation during the first three days. Participants receive a full program briefing, safety guidelines, cultural awareness training, housing introduction, emergency procedures, SIM card distribution, transportation guidance, and a guided city tour of Amman. An Arabic placement assessment ensures learners are placed at the correct level for maximum progress. 

From Monday to Thursday, students attend daily Arabic language sessions from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, including lunch and breaks. Instruction focuses on both Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) for reading, writing, and formal communication, and Jordanian dialect for everyday conversations. Over four months, learners progress from foundational fluency to more advanced communication skills. Lessons are highly interactive and supported by cultural integration activities such as music, media analysis, storytelling, and group discussions. 

A key feature of the 4-month program is weekly community engagement and service learning. Students participate in structured activities that connect them with local communities, including youth, women, and underserved groups. These experiences provide insight into social development, refugee contexts, and real-life challenges in the region. 

Weekends are dedicated to cultural trips and academic enrichment. Participants rotate through major excursions such as Petra, Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea, and Jerash, alongside workshops including Arabic cinema analysis, traditional calligraphy, Jordanian cooking classes, refugee studies, and guest lectures with local experts. 

As the program progresses, students also engage in project-based learning, allowing them to apply their Arabic skills and cultural understanding to real-world topics and presentations. This strengthens critical thinking, communication, and confidence. 

The program concludes with final Arabic assessments, student presentations, reflection sessions, and a cultural showcase. A formal farewell dinner and certificate ceremony celebrate student achievements and learning outcomes.
