Summer Intensive Program (6 Weeks)

The Summer Intensive Program is a structured, fast-paced, and immersive 6-week experience designed for international students (18 years and up) who want to gain meaningful exposure to the Arabic language and Jordanian culture in a short period of time. It combines language learning, cultural immersion, and experiential education to create a well-rounded and impactful journey. 

The program begins with a comprehensive orientation during the first three days. Students are introduced to the program structure, safety guidelines, housing arrangements, transportation systems, and cultural expectations. A guided city tour of Amman helps participants become familiar with their surroundings, while Arabic placement assessments ensure each student is placed at the appropriate learning level. 

From Monday to Thursday, students attend daily Arabic language classes from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, including breaks and lunch. The curriculum focuses on Modern Standard Arabic for reading and writing, along with Jordanian dialect for practical, everyday communication. Lessons are interactive and designed to build speaking confidence, listening comprehension, and vocabulary through real-life conversation practice. Cultural integration is embedded into the learning process through music, media, storytelling, and group discussions, allowing students to experience the language in authentic contexts. 

Fridays and weekends are dedicated to cultural exploration and experiential learning. Students participate in guided trips to some of Jordan’s most iconic sites, including Petra, Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea, and Jerash. These excursions provide a direct connection to Jordan’s rich history, natural beauty, and cultural heritage. 

In addition to travel, students take part in academic and cultural workshops. These may include sessions on Arabic cinema, traditional calligraphy, Jordanian cooking classes, refugee studies, and talks with local experts and professionals. These activities deepen understanding of regional issues, traditions, and contemporary society. 

The program emphasizes cross-cultural exchange, encouraging students to engage with local communities and develop global awareness. Participants are encouraged to reflect on their learning experiences and apply their new skills in meaningful ways. 

The program concludes in the final week with Arabic assessments, student presentations, reflection sessions, and a cultural showcase. A farewell ceremony celebrates student achievements and marks the completion of the program.
